1-sct..prob the easiest, also sorta expensive. NYjustin knows all about it, And he is a great knowledgable guy. He will guide you along as will a place like bama chips or any sct retailer.

2-megasquirt- prob one of the hardest, but cheap. You can even buy an adapter to run your stock harness and plug the MS into a ford adapter held in your stock ecu case. Pretty slick, very cheap, real good management, but you have to solder it all together, and based on your reading comprehension, this will be way out of your league.

3-buy and install a 97 system. This way you could run a simple fmu and adjustable regulator. This is somewhat cheap, very reliable, very simple, but not the best for serious boost and power.

Number 1 choice imo would be sct, then ms, and finally the noob super stupid route of just switching to a 97 unit. best route in turbo builds? almost always the most expensive route....Look at denis' car. He did it right, but it sure as hell wasn't cheap. Go with the sct. If you have to ask, sct should do ok, just get soemone to help you tune it.

btw i have never seen a spi with a safc and a well working setup. ever wonder why you NEVER see them on any decent turbo car? It's cuz they suck ass. go standalone.

i actually had an SAFC2 on my scort for a while. This was before i boosted tho.

i had intake and full exhaust but messing with the settings i really couldnt tell too much of a differeanc ein performance. i sold it when i boosted and went with sct. because with an AFC if u add fuel with it on our cars, its also gonna advance timing signifiacntly.......and with boost timing is very important, so it wasnt a feasable option for me for realiablity and power output wise. SCT was the best $800 I'VE SPENT..........am i saying everyone should do it? no........but it is a good investment if ur serious about modding ur scort or anything else u could tune with it. im a motor head and alwayz want more juice if u catch my drift so all out management and tunability was key for my setup

Quarterhorse. 256 bucks, instant live on the fly tuning from a laptop on just about any ford straight thru a chip that plugs into the J3 port on the backside of the ecu. There are binaries for it for just about all of our cars. Tuning made stupid simple.
